Frank Burns ’74 Memorial Football Locker Dedication

Join Bison teammates and fellow Hall of Famers in honoring the legacy of Frank Burns

Frank Burns ’74, captain of the 1973 NEFC Championship football team and a 1980 Hall of Fame inductee, is being honored for the lasting impact he had on Nichols and those around him. In his memory, his former teammates have launched a campaign to raise $5,000 to dedicate a football locker in his name. The goal is to raise the necessary funds by September 1 to ensure we can dedicate this locker to Frank.

Football Home Opener: Saturday, September 13, 2025

The dedication ceremony will take place on September 13, with Frank’s wife and eldest daughter in attendance. Coach Ed Kunkel will unveil the locker — a tribute made possible by your generous support. All funds raised will go towards the dedication ceremony and benefit the Nichols College Football program.

On behalf of Peter Coyle, Bill Collins, and Coach Ed Kunkel, thank you for helping honor the memory of a Bison football player, teammate, classmate and friend.
